Indiana or Bust!

This past weekend I traveled to Indiana for the first time. I did lots of new things, including having Daddy along for the airplane ride. He gave me an "A+," and Mommy said I was "an angel." Yes, truely.
One of the most exciting parts of the weekend was finding a bear in the front yard!!

Just kidding!! It was actually Sammy, the Dog, who is really darn big. Though I'm not afraid of most four legged creatures (take, cats, for example), I needed to learn a little dog whispering from Grandma Jackie.

Here I am, trying to tame the beast...

Future career... lion-tamer?

Of course, for me, no day is complete without some tofu... and a little waving practice.

Hanging out with my Uncle Wolfie and Daddy.

A final pose with Grandpa Chris and Uncle Francis on our way to the airport. Note, please, who was looking at the right camera.

Until next time! Thanks for a wonderful visit Grandma, Grandpa and Uncles Francis and Wolfie!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Welcome to my belated Mother's Day post and a look at my adventures of the week.
Here is my very first tooth... but watch out, there are three more coming through now!

Here I am keeping tabs on my two favorite kitties, making sure to keep them close. I love you Hans and Stinky Kitty.

Here I am trying to figure out where to find the booby part of the soymilk machine.

It must be in here somewhere.

Me and Daddy feeding each other strawberries.

This weekend I got my second ever haircut.

As with everything, I tasted the boat.

Cleanly trimmed bangs.

Flavor saver anyone?

I did great, but when the clipper came out it was time to go.

Little did I know, my Nana got a new haircut too!

Playing with Nana Lucy's chimes.

Here's my version of the tinman.

Me and Mommy on Mother's Day.

We hung out at the park.

Anybody recognize my t-shirt?

Daddy and I discovered a new game on the swings...

Which, of course, involved a ball.

I bounced it to Daddy every time I swung up in the air. It was cool.

Of course, the park wouldn't be complete without some basketball too.

And a cheekful of banana.

Mommy said it was time to go home, but I wanted to stay. So I ran!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Cameron Crazy? Or Hoosier at Heart?

This week I got to go to Daddy's resident vs. faculty basketball game in Cameron Stadium, home of coach K and the Duke Blue Devils. Mommy and Daddy couldn't decide if I should wear duke blue or IU... they decided I AM a Hoosier at heart.
I practiced guarding drills...

And I was hypnotized briefly by the many lights overhead, which looked like little moons ("moon" being my favorite word).

I can't wait till I'm as big as Daddy someday.

Here's Daddy on the court.

With fellow residents and the Medicine Chairman.

Can you believe I'm in the middle of Cameron Stadium??

Ready to cool down with some gatorade.

Until next time, Cameron Stadium... next year, Daddy gets to play for the other side!

I'm Loco for LocoPops!

Yes, indeed. Mommy and Daddy took me for my first ever locopop in honor of my first ever tooth that has started to make its way through.
I was a bit sad when they wouldn't get me number two...

But I sure did enjoy my strawberries and cream!

Those teeth marks are Daddy's.

Here I am protecting the last of the pop before Daddy gets anymore. Yum!!

The next day we went to the NC Zoo. It was a record crowd and record heat, two things that Mommy and Daddy apparently hate. They say it's hard not to have fun when I'm there, however. Here we are about to ride the carousel.

I was a little scared and wouldn't sit down on my giraffe. Luckily, my giraffe was the one animal on the carousel that didn't go up and down... Mommy thinks this is funny because the only zoo animals actually moving were the giraffes! All the other animals were too hot, so they just laid there.

One of the best parts of the zoo was the playground.

Here I am climbing.

And practicing to be a pirate.

Finally, back at home, doing a little teething on my awesome birthday balloon from Will.

Hope your weekend was as much fun as mine!

P.S. Say congrats to my Daddy for his last EVER call of residency, ending in about 14 hours!
