One Day Until the Big Haircut!!

Well, the big haircut is tomorrow, so I thought I'd show off just exactly what is getting cut off... First, will be my side locks or peyot. I could have been a nice Jewish boy, but alas... sorry Uncle Jared!

Then, a nice trim of the bangs.

Notice that though I am only a baby, I was expecting a very important page.

...what's that? The dark around my mouth, you ask? Yes, it's dirt. I ate a handful...

Mommy immediately removed me from the flower bed, but then we adventured to the back deck where I immediately headed for the birdfeeder and tried to climb up to get it... I had to make sure Mommy wasn't looking.
Nothing like a pair of black pants to show off when you're covered with birdseed.

And finally, an orange to wash down the dirt.

Bye-bye crazy hair!

Haircut... 6 days and counting...

You know, Mommy and Daddy, if you cancel that appointment I could eventually look like my favorite rock band... (that's Led Zeppelin for those of you who don't keep up with contemporary lullaby music)

Say goodbye to my precious, beautiful hair...

Yes, it's true. I have been officially booked for my very first haircut. Next Sunday at 1:30pm. 7 days and counting. Mommy thought she should get some final headshots before the big "trim."Here I am clowning around in my crib. Now that I can stand up the crib is a pretty fun place to be.Here I am making my "happy" sound. Imagine drool spraying everywhere to get the full effect. Here I am pulling myself up. Get me a haircut!! Please! My hair is so long the wind is going to blow me away!

Here I am, just Jack.

10 Months Old and My First Spaghetti

I got to celebrate turning 10 months old with my first ever spaghetti and meatballs.
I'm really good at one-by-one noodle suction. But I'm also quite good at the "giant handfull -shove in your mouth" method.I got pretty messy.

Then I realized just how messy I was.

My Valentine adventures with chocolate, kittens, and hats

Happy Post-Valentine's Day! I had a day full of adventures and so did Mom and Dad. While they were dealing with the Great Valentine's Day Flood of 2009 (something about Mommy and too much toilet paper...), I was oblivious and having a great old time.

Here I am showing off some new skills. I still crawl commando style, but I get on my hands and knees when I'm about to stand. I was lucky enough to get many presents from my Nana Peggy for Valentines Day... including some Ghirardelli chocolate! Mommy said this was supposed to be for her, but I grabbed it with my fast hands.

I had no luck getting the wrapper open. And the packaging was slippery. But that didn't stop me from trying... and from carrying it around everywhere.I finally gave up the chocolate when I met a new cat in the hallway. This was my first time crawling in the hallway upstairs. Can you imagine my surprise upon meeting this cat???!!! For, I LOVE cats!!This made me so excited that I had to crawl back to my room to read my favorite book, Kittens. This was my Mommy's book when she was a baby.
Here I am bringing the book to Mommy for us to read together. Notice I pick reading over chocolate.

I abandoned it all, however, to play with an orange feather boa. Who knew?

And finally, climbing the diaper genie.

I forgot to mention that my cool outfits both above and below were from Nana Peggy -- thanks Nana! My cool hat was made by my Auntie in China.

It was itchy... but very stylish!I had fun shaking it.
I ended my day with another cool hat and my first time driving a car. Just kidding! I did rather like being in the driver's seat of the Geo, however, and I'm hoping Daddy saves this car for me.

Good Night Daddy! See you in the Morning!

My Daddy has been a busy Daddy. First he was q2 in the MICU, then he went to Cleveland, and now he's back in the MICU. I guess it's ok because he's saving lives... and he's good at that. I miss you Daddy!

Here I am eating cooked carrots. Daddy hates cooked carrots. But I love Daddy! Here's me, thinking about how proud Daddy would be of me eating a food that he hates! Here I am looking just like a character from a famous movie Daddy likes... can you guess who it is? Sneezing cottage cheese.
Here I am posing in my new ducky bathtub. It turns out that I won't stay seated in it (unless it's not bathtime of course), nor will I stay seated in my blue bathtub, or even sitting in the big boy bathtub!
Daddy, Mommy says yikes!! She says she can't wait for you to be home tomorrow for bathtime because tonight I clutched onto her neck and we did standing bathtime.... I think she misses you too. See you in the morning Daddy! I love you!
