Merry Christmas!

Here I am on Christmas morning. Mommy and Daddy said I was the best present of them all!

They didn't think I would have any interest in presents... but I did! My favorite part was shaking the boxes and chewing on the bows. And guess what I got for Christmas... the thing I wanted most... I crawled!!!Once I master crawling, I'm gonna walk. Nana and Grampa got me a shopping cart to walk behind. It's awesome! Here I am with Mommy on Christmas Eve. I watched her and Nana make cookies. Here are the cookies on my Nana Lucy's pretty antique server. Can you believe Mommy let Daddy feed me a bite of cookie?? I can't! There were egg whites, sugar, wheat flour, butter... all things I'm not allowed to have!! I didn't really like it anyway. Here we are the night before at Christmas Eve dinner. I didn't really hold it together, but it was really late by the time we ate. Here I am with Daddy on Christmas Eve practicing unwrapping. This was a medical newspaper. You can see what I think of desvenlafaxine.

Me and Mommy Christmas afternoon.

Me and Grampa doing the Human Swing!

Check out my Nana... she's looking good! We had a fun day!

I finally smiled for a family photo!Me and Daddy pallin' around. To finish out the day, Mommy gave me mashed potatoes and gravy. The gravy was soooo good, it made me wild!! Grampa Kent makes a good gravy. I was showing off on Daddy's shoulders threatening to spit out my food on his head. I was a real ham and made everybody laugh. Watch out Daddy!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I'm Eight Months Old! Can you dig it?

Can you believe I'm Eight months old already??
Here I am posing for my weigh-in...
16 lbs, 10 oz!!!
Yes, my Mom and Dad are nerds... they have a scale... and medical books on the kitchen table.
Luckily, I think getting weighed is pretty fun.
That's me by the Christmas Tree.
I'm really good at sitting now.

My Nana got me soccer balls...

Mommy and I were rolling the ball back and forth.

I outgrew the colorful bumper that Mommy made for me, so now I have a fleecy one that protects my head much better. I love to monkey around in my crib. Here I am trying to pull down my sheep.

I was really happy this morning because Mommy and Daddy are finally on vacation!

But then Daddy got stuck in Indianapolis because of weather and I was sad.

But he'll be home this afternoon so I'm happy!

This is my "hungry but happy" look.

And this is my "secret agent trying to escape from the highchair" look.

Cheers to all!!

All I Want for Christmas is to be Able to Crawl...

It's tough being a baby at Christmas time. There are all these ornaments on the tree that I'm not allowed to play with. Luckily, Mom found me a jingle bell (without the jingle, hence baby-proof).As with all things, I had to taste it.
And taste the ribbon too.
Unfortunately, the bell got away from me... I tried to get it by crawling, but I just can't crawl yet! This is torture!Mommy?? Help me??!!Please!!!....Mommy finally picked me up and I was better. Here we are with the tree and new stockings. Mommy says, come join us for Christmas and you can have a stocking.... I'm hoping we get like 30 of them! They tried to get me to smile for a family photo, but I wouldn't.

But then I did for Nana -- 'cause she doesn't torture me to crawl!!This is me earlier that day. I was just chillin' in my high chair. The rings are tasty. Here I am again by the tree.
Once again, I'm trying to crawl.
Going... going... Splat! Then I got stuck behind the table leg.
I was so tired after all these crawling attempts that I fell asleep in Daddy's arms.
It's exhausting being a baby!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Yesterday was Nana's birthday. The adults had a traditional meal of noodles with hard boiled eggs and they finally let me have some food from the table. Egg yolks!! They were so yummy! I think they are my new favorite food.... and they may be Mommy's new favorite food too, because I slept 8 hours straight last night, unswaddled and in my sleep sack!! Yeah!!! (Prior to last night I was getting up every 2 hours.)

I was pretty happy about the eggs. Then mom gave me a banana to top it off. Most of it ended up on my face and down my shirt. You can see that everyone was so excited about Nana's birthday that they forgot to put a bib on me.Here's Nana and her cake.I gave her a christmas ornament with our names on it. Then we celebrated with champagne. I really wanted some.I was hoping to steal Daddy's.
My grip is really strong, but Daddy wouldn't let me have any.I probably got some fumes, though... Mommy's hoping that's not why I slept so well. Mommy also wants to say for the record that she only had a few sips.
I can't wait for my birthday... 4 more months!
