Happy Birthday Nana!

Yesterday was Nana's birthday. The adults had a traditional meal of noodles with hard boiled eggs and they finally let me have some food from the table. Egg yolks!! They were so yummy! I think they are my new favorite food.... and they may be Mommy's new favorite food too, because I slept 8 hours straight last night, unswaddled and in my sleep sack!! Yeah!!! (Prior to last night I was getting up every 2 hours.)

I was pretty happy about the eggs. Then mom gave me a banana to top it off. Most of it ended up on my face and down my shirt. You can see that everyone was so excited about Nana's birthday that they forgot to put a bib on me.Here's Nana and her cake.I gave her a christmas ornament with our names on it. Then we celebrated with champagne. I really wanted some.I was hoping to steal Daddy's.
My grip is really strong, but Daddy wouldn't let me have any.I probably got some fumes, though... Mommy's hoping that's not why I slept so well. Mommy also wants to say for the record that she only had a few sips.
I can't wait for my birthday... 4 more months!

Turkey! Turkey!

We had a fun-filled Turkey Day which started out at Dad's resident football game, the "Turkey Bowl."Mom and I sat on the sidelines to watch. I mostly played with the grass and tried my best to get as much in my mouth as possible.Daddy took some breaks from the game to play with me. By this time I was getting pretty hungry so I thought I'd take a bite out of Daddy's ear... I know, this is football, not boxing. We had a good time.I like to show off my toes... it's one of the new words I'm learning. The best view was from up here.I was trying to read the back of Dad's jersey... biscuits and gravy sounds good to me! Here's Daddy. The team wanted to get him drug tested because his muscles are so big! He's kinda dressed like Superman. They're planning the big play.......and there goes Daddy towards the end zone! Wait a minute, I'm not the ball!!
Seriously Daddy, I'm really not the ball!!Whew... after football I got a quick breather at home and then we were off to the airport to pick up Grandpa. We played and had a good time.He even snuck me a sweet potato.

Nana is helping me play the organ...and trying to keep the sweet potato off of the keys. Finally on Turkey Day we got to have Thanksgiving dinner. Here is Mommy the night before preparing the brine for the turkey. Here it is ready to go in the oven.

And voila! Done! Mommy's first turkey ever.Nana and I think it looks pretty good.

But then Mommy told me I couldn't have any! Again! Just like the halloween candy!

She was pretty proud of that turkey.

And then Daddy got to carve it. Yikes! Look out!

Nice carving Daddy!

Me and Grandpa at the end of the evening. I was sad to see Grandpa go. Come back soon!!

Don Apicelli, will you be my Godfather?

Here I am with my honorary Uncle TJ. He visited to interview for residency and I got to hang out with him. He is teaching me wise things....
And he gave me an orange!Thank you Don Apicelli. Come back and visit us soon!

Football!

I'm starting to love football. Here I am with Daddy a few weekends ago watching college gameday on Saturday morning. See my cool football?Daddy's beard was getting scruffy. Go shave Daddy!

This was unusual behavior for me to just lay on the floor in front of the TV. Daddy tickled me to make sure I wasn't an imposter baby!

Here I am with Mommy at Daddy's football practice. We hang out on the sidelines.

I was getting pretty sleepy.

I fell asleep.
Here we are after practice. I woke up.
Someday I get to throw the big football like Daddy.

Here I am in a hole.

Apparently there is a mystery photo of Daddy when he was a baby sitting in a hole. So, they have recreated it and now I am in the hole. Weird, huh?

Still in the hole.

Ok, guys, I'm ready to get out of the hole!! This isn't part of football is it?
