Shots! Ouch!

Jack has had a big week... Yesterday he received his first set of vaccinations and has been a sleepy boy for the past 16 hours. He also graduated from his cradle to his crib and is now sleeping like a champ in his own room. Jack has also become the master of tummy time and can flip over onto his back if he leans over far enough... though he usually then bonks his head and crys. And speaking of crying, Jack now has a new trick that we call "smying" -- a smile that turns into a cry and vice versa.

Here he is, the grand tummy master.

Post shot crying... check out the cool bandaids.

2 Months

Jack turned 2 months old on Friday and he weighed in at 9 lbs 12.5 oz. Jack had several big events this week including going to workout class for mommy and baby and going to the psychiatry graduation dinner. Jack loved graduation because he got to meet lots of other new babies and look at lots of faces. And Mom and Dad both got to eat a nice dinner -- at the same time!! We also got a webcam, so anyone who would like to converse with Jack in real time, just let us know!!!

Going to graduation. New Psychiatry babies.
Returning from a cool evening walk with his IU hat (thanks Jill and Aunt Julie!)
Sporting his new romper from Dr. Shirey.
Playing while Dad naps.
Just woke up for the morning and happy!

Happy Father's Day -- Eight Weeks

We've had lots of fun this week with Jack, who continues to do new things everyday. He continues to say "Hi" -- usually when greeting his changing table wall animals. He has also discovered that sucking is soothing and we've had some luck with the pacifier, sucking on dad's hand, sucking his bathtime washcloth and even trying to suck on his hanging horsey's feet on the play gym.

We've also discovered that Jack is quite the fashionista -- see below for his various looks.

Trying on hats... the beach bum look.
... the gas station attendant look.
...the preppy look (thanks for the outfit Aunt Christie!!) ... the Jack Nicholson look.
... the SUPER preppy look (and first time ever wearing pants)
Ah, he says, finally they've stopped trying on clothes and it's time for my bath...Come on dad, hurry it up already, I'm freezing!!
That's more like it... Jack likes to nip and nibble at the bubbles.Latched on to Dad's hand.
Napping on Mom.

Hanging out on the playgym.

Father's Day.
Ready for an afternoon stroll.

7 weeks

Here are some select photos from the week. Growing strong at 9 lbs. Jack flipped himself over this week with a big push off of Mom. I swear he also said "Hi" but like any new discovery will need repetition to prove it. :) I've also included photos of his room, which I've been meaning to post for months. It's the cat room, but a masculine one. :)

Happy boy.

Nice onesie from Auntie Jill.
