Hooray for the Sling!

After three and a half months, Jack has finally decided to let me try out the sling -- and he likes it!! We've been practicing the different carries as demonstrated in the photos below. Jack was also very happy to try out his new exersaucer passed down from Guillome Preud'homme. Merci! It's a little big for him right now, but he's working on it.

Everything goes in the mouth now.
Sweet naked baby.All curled up.
The classic "Cradle Hold."

Jack's nightly weigh-in... hooray for 12 pounds! (can you say obsessive parents??) Zonked after a walk around the neighborhood.

The Big Nose Scratch

"Trim my nails, please!!" says Jack, who is now sporting a big old scratch on his nose. We are happy to report that Jack has now doubled his birthweight and is very close to a whopping 12 pounds. He has done great with the bottle this week with Mom back at work, however every nursing is now a marathon sleep-eat-sleep-eat session lasting hours. But Mommy doesn't mind.

Sleeping on Nana.

Post-bath screaming.

Jack is happy to meet Jonah, who is 9.5 months old. "I get to be THAT big someday? Cool."

Sleeping in Papa's arms. Jack is a champion for taking his Vitamin drops so well. We tasted it -- ooh, yuck!
Mom and Jack after the first day at work. Jack has finally found a place where he will sit/sleep... the stroller of course. Now we do stroller rides INSIDE.
Honoring the Olympics Jack shows off his new grasping skills.

Mommy's Going Back to Work Tomorrow :(

Alas, the sad day has come where I have to go back to work. Thank goodness I'm going part-time only, which will mean 4 half-days and only one full day per week. I will miss the little man tremendously and can't wait for the day when Daddy finishes a fellowship and I can stay home! Luckily, we have found an awesome bottle that Jack, like his cousin Bailey, takes like a champ. Thank goodness for that!! And of course he's got his awesome Nana to take care of him during the day.

Freshly washed crazy hair! Sucking bubbles.
Jack's new bathtime friend -- the electrical outlet. He talks to it and smiles at it. Mommy doesn't like this!
Scooting a little on the slippery table top.

More suds please?
Jack of Arabia.
Bend it like Jack... and so Daddy bought a regulation soccer ball today, just in case the major league calls. How much longer do I have to do this, Mom? My head feels like an orange on a toothpick... Jack psychs himself up before meeting the bigger, older babies at the psychiatry pool party.
The Magic Sleep Harmonica strikes again.
Figuring out how to wear those shades. Mr. Milkface wakes up.

Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner...

...or the bouncer seat, or the swing, or the pack 'n' play. Jack says "hold me please!" But seriously... this week was huge as Jack slept through the night for 3 nights in a row -- 7 hours each! He also got his first pair of sunglasses, which he finds quite funny.

Ready for an afternoon nap.

Got Milk?

Sporting the new shades.

Again, the Jack Nicholson look. We think he needs a clear pair for basketball.
Hanging out on the tummy. Jack and Grandpa ready for a walk.

Getting more hair and a cute little widow's peak. Playing.
More playing.
This is how Jack flips from tummy to back.... Timber!
